Sleek Brow Kit in Light Review

As I recently dyed my hair blonde, I was on a desperate hunt for a lighter brow powder. I already owned the Sleek Brow Kit in dark but decided to just go ahead and buy the shade light. If you would also like to see what the dark looks like on my brows just ask, Ill happily do a review on that too!

 Left - wax
Right - powder

As mentioned before this kit is in the shade 'Light'.  It comes with a wax that the box suggests to use to shape your brows and then a lighter powder to blend and fill in all of the gaps. I must admit that I only use the powder as I do not like the colour of the wax as it is too warm and I just generally don't like the way it makes my brows look. However I love the powder as it definitely lightens up my brows and is the perfect colour! I actually use the angled brush from the kit, its pretty good in my opinion. However the tweezers aren't that great but what can you expect from a £8.49 brow kit? It can be bought here from Superdrug. Overall I think it is the perfect product for someone with natural or dyed blonde hair with darker brows!

Collection Super Size Fat Lash Mascara Review

I have got to admit I did not expect much from this mascara as it only costs £2.99 (can be bought here) but I have continued to repurchase it! Although there are many positives to this mascara, there actually are a few negative points also:

As you can see this mascara definitely adds length to my lashes, I just wish it added a little more volume but for £2.99 I still think it is pretty impressive. I love the massive brush and unlike others I don't find its too big that it puts mascara on my lid too, which is so annoying especially if I have just put eye shadow on! With Collection mascaras I find that they dry out quickly but I don't find that this is the case for this product. However the thing that annoys me with this mascara is that it does not hold a curl! My lashes just seem to go soft after a couple of hours and it doesn't even feel like I have mascara on yet my lashes still look long and dark. Overall for £2.99 I think this product is great, I'm on my 3rd tube!

Clinique chubby stick review

I received a chubby stick in the shade 'woppin' watermelon' for Christmas and I have got to admit at first I was not too impressed with it.. however I have grown to love it!

As you can tell the colour is not red like you would expect from the name but instead appears to be a vivid pink. However it applys as a natural pink, something which I really did not like at first but now I love it as it can be applied literally anywhere without a mirror! It is described as a 'moisturising lip colour balm' so I think that I was expecting too much from the product.

My chubby stick lives in my handbag 24/7. I used to be addicted to using chapsticks whenever I could but this product has quickly replaced them due to how moisturising it is. It also feels exactly like a chapstick and is comfortable on the lips.

The obvious downside is that they are not very pigmented, however that can be expected from a moisterising balm. Also they can be bought here for £17 which may be too pricey for many people.. including me! There are many cheaper alternatives such as L'Oreal's glam shin balmy glosses for £6.99 and also Revlon's colourburst matte and lacquer balms for £7.99, none of which I have tried but definitely plan to!

Naked 3 Palette: swatches and review

I was so excited when the post man turned up to my door with the parcel that contained my Naked 3 palette! My boyfriend bought me it as a surprise but he caved in and told me early.. I can always get secrets out of people ha ha! Anyway here are some photos:

The palette can with 4 samples of the different primer potions, which I was surprised by but I am still completely fine with.. I was just expecting a lipgloss or small primer potion like the other palettes. I am really impressed with the brush that came free with it also, its actually usable!

I have swatched the colours in the same order that they are in the palette, also I do not have any primer under them but they are still so pigmented! I love the mixture of mattes and shimmers as you can create so many different types of looks. I particularly love the colour 'Nooner', its matte and is the perfect colour for the crease and can be used to make a natural or more dramatic look. 'Darkside' is also the perfect colour for a darker crease, however its shimmery. 'Blackheart' really stands out to me as its a dark brown with red and purple subtle sparkles.. so unique but it is hard to blend. There are plenty of lighter colours for the lid aswell which makes the palette perfect!

The only negative point I have about the palette is that a few of the shimmery shadows are so powdery! Particularly dust as you can see from the swatch. It is a really pretty colour though and can be worked with.

I definitely think the palette is worth £36 as there are so many shadows which can be used to create day time and night time looks. Also there is a very diverse range of colours. I definitely plan to purchase the Naked 2 palette as soon as possible!
