Have you ever been invited somewhere for Halloween just days before? I have and was so panicked on what to wear as a) I had very little time and b) had no money to actually buy a costume. As I am going as a skeleton this year I have been trying to think of a makeup look to wear that does not involved painting my whole face as a skeleton. This got me thinking of doing a dark purple eye and nude lips. For this purpose of this post I also added a bloody tear - just throw on a tatty outfit or vampire costume (they cry blood tears on True Blood right?) and you are ready for Halloween!
I had to use a few different palettes as I did not have all of the shades in one. However they are all shades that are found easily.
First I blended Limit from the Naked 3 palette into my crease and used this as a transition shade. I then added my Kiko shadow in Infinity on top of this. For the lid colour, I blended my Lancome black eyeliner onto just the lid focusing on the outer part and keeping my inner corners lighter. Infinity was then placed on top of this also. To create a deeper look, Darkside from the Naked 3 palette was placed in my crease and smoked out. I used the lightest shade from my Makeup Revolution palette in my inner corners. The black shadow from the same palette was used on my bottom lash line blended with Infinity to create more definition. Finally to top the look off I added winged liner and mascara.
For the blood tear, I applied fake blood directly onto my cheek and let it drip itself. I made sure to smudge it out a bit beside my inner corner to make sure it looked like it came from my eyes and was not just blood randomly placed on my face. This look would look even better with contacts but me being me, bought some but I am too scared to use them. If you would like to see what base products I used, check out this post!
What are you doing on Halloween?
This is great and simply to do!
