Wednesday Wishlist

1. I have wanted this essie nail varnish in 'splash of grenadine' for as long as I can remember. Its such a lovely purple, this picture does not do it justice. The price of it is just too high for me though, any dupes that people know of?

2.How gorgeous is this dress? As I have mentioned so so many times - I love daisies! Such a lovely summer print, I am definitely considering buying it.

3. Ah, wish this pinafore dress wasnt £35. I want it so badly, might just treat myself since it is my birthday today. I never jumper on this trend at first but now I am seriously regretting it.

4. I got this dress in black around Christmas time and I love it, it is such a good fit. When I saw this pink and the blue version is down to £13.99 I was so happy!

Londons Calling! - Whats in my Makeup Bag

Two exciting things are happening on Wednesday - its my 19th birthday and I'm going to London! Ah! I have yet to actually pack my suitcase but I have already put together the makeup that I am taking. Here it is:

1- Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
2- Sleek Bad Girl palette
3- Bourjois Delice de Poudre bronzing powder
4- MAC snob and up the amp lipsticks, ELF Studio Matte Lip Colour (natural)
5- Sleek Brow Kit (light)
6- No7 Precise Felt tip Eyeliner
7- Revlon Colorstay foundation (ivory)
8- Maybelline Color tattoo (permanent taupe)
9- Maybelline Matte Maker powder
10- Maybelline One by One mascara

Firstly I have packed all of the makeup I normally use for my base, this includes foundation, powder and bronzer. I also packed my Maybelline Color tattoo as a base for my eyeshadow. The Naked 3 palette is essential to take as it contains so many neutral colours, I also added the Sleek Bad Girl palette in case I want to darken my eyes for a night out. I cant go without my liquid eye liner, mascara and brow powder! Finally I packed three lipsticks - a barbie pink, a deep purple and a nude. I might also add a bright pink one too.

New Look Sale Picks

How great are all of the sales right now? I have been pulled into so many shops by them! Here are some items that I have chosen from the sale on the New Look website, I just wish I could buy them all!

My favourite is probably number 9, how beautiful is the colour of this dress? I am tempted to purchase it and buy a lovely kimono to match. Another item that I love is the peplum top (3), again I just love the colours of it! I only actually own one top in this style but I may have to invest in more. Number 4 reminds me a lot of tops that are in Topshop right now except at a much cheaper price! Finally the gingham dress (8) is such a good price as I can imagine it can be worn in all seasons - what more could you want from a dress?

Matte Nail Paint by Barry M

I finally purchased some matte nail varnish! I have wanted to try one from the Barry M range for ages but just never picked one up, here is the colour I eventually got:

The colour I purchased is called Vanilla and it is a dusky purplely shade (I'm rubbish at explaining colours). I have to say I am impressed with how quick this drys, I would say its even quicker than the normal Barry M nail paints. Also two coats is enough even though it is a lighter colour which is great. However my nails don't end up completely matte, maybe I was expecting too much? Another thing that disappointed me is that it chips within hours which is so annoying! this might be my fault because I have yet to purchase a matte top coat. I definitely recommend trying one from this range though.

Recent Purcases - Topshop, AX Paris, Primark and New Look

First of all I am so sorry about my disappearance from the blogging world the past few days! I've had my mum over and have been working loads. My mum and I went shopping, here are some bits I picked up:

1. I was seriously lacking earrings so I picked up these in Primark. You can never go wrong buying 9 pairs of earrings for 2! I love the colour palette, gold and pale pink just looks great together. My favourites are the ones on the bottom right! I carried on the pale pink theme with the larger flower earrings for £1.50, I wore these today and they are gorgeous.

2. This skirt previously was £15 and I really wanted it but never picked it up. During my last trip to New Look I noticed it was down to £8 so I had to get it! Its such a versatile skirt and will last me through summer and also if I add tights, winter.

3. How gorgeous is this kimono? It was only £20 from the AX Paris section in New Look. This is shockingly my first kimono but I definitely plan to buy more. The only negative is that it is pretty big and a bit long even though its a s/m but this is totally something that I can work around.

4. I actually bought this top to match my kimono. It was only £12 from Topshop! I love the neckline as I think it looks so feminine and I have none like it. Hopefully I will wear this top and kimono on my birthday at the end of this month so there will definitely be an outfit post!

Rimmel Sun Shimmer Instant Tan (light)

First off, sorry for the glare in the photo. I tried my hardest to conquer it, this included standing in so many stupid positions! I was going out last Friday and decided on the day that I needed to fake tan so I rushed to my local savers and picked this up, I had many people recommend it to me.

Using a mitt I rubbed on this instant tan and it honestly went on streak free! Another good thing is that it does not have that horrible biscuit smell that a usual fake tan does. The colour was a perfect for me, it looked so natural. However I would say that light may be too light for people with a darker skin tone than me, I'm mega pale!

The tan is meant to last up to 24 hours and washes off straight away with soap and water. Even the nightclub was so cramped and hot it actually lasted all night! I still wouldn't trust it in the rain though or in direct contact with water. One bad point about this tan is that it is not transfer resistant as it states on the bottle nevertheless I am so impressed with this product! I also have so much more uses in the bottle that I have. It costs around £6.99 from places such as Boots.

Online Purchase - Hit or Miss?

I constantly order online and I'm always either really happy with what I get or disappointed therefore I though that a series of posts showing what online garments look like in real life is needed. Hopefully I can help someone out by showing them a really good piece of clothing...or stop them from buying a bad one. Please remember though, these are just my opinions!

VERDICT: HIT

I am in love with this dress and the best part is that it was only £10.32 from Sheinside! The pattern is gorgeous and so is the material, it really does not feel like a cheaply made dress. Sorry for the bad lighting, the sun just would not cooperate! The colours are as exactly pictured on the website though. However I have not actually worn it yet (except to try on for photos) as although the dress has an under layer it is still so sheer. I do not currently own anything to wear under this, hence why I have a black bandeau on in the photo. To be honest I do not actually know what to use. The under layer is also very short at the front!. Once I find something this dress will be perfect! Sheinside is actually an American site so shipping does take a couple of weeks but it is still decently priced at around £2.90 for an order under £18 and free for orders over this amount. I definitely recommend purchasing this dress!

VERDICT: MISS

This dress looked perfect on the Missguided website, when it turned out to be £14.99 I bought it straight away. I even had gorgeous light pink shoes picked out to wear with it. However when it arrived the colours were actually neon! Is it just me or does it not look like this in the picture? Nevertheless I ignored this and went to try it on anyway but the material was not stretchy at all, it wouldn't even go past my boobs! Maybe its just my body shape that doesn't fit this dress but I do not recommend purchasing it. Sorry about the lack of picture, I returned the dress before I could take one.

1.  How gorgeous is the colour of this dress? I just love it!. Also I think the cut out detail is perfect as it shows areas of the skinniest part of your waist, hopefully it would hide my not so tiny belly ha ha!

2. Ah I want these so badly! I have noticed white shoes are a major trend at the moment, there are so many nice ones out there however this shape of shoe is definitely my favourite style to wear.

3. I can just imagine this dress with bold lips, how lovely would that be? Its only £10 as well, such a bargain for a monochrome dress that could be worn day or night!

4. I actually bought this today so you can say that I am kind of cheating, I cant decide if its too long on me though. As I mentioned in my previous wishlist , I am loving palm prints right now so when I saw this for £20 I had to pick it up!

Primark Pastels

Tell me I am not the only one who is noticing how many fab pastel items Primark has right now? Pictured above are some of my most recent purchases, some of which have already been shown on my blog. I am just loving this trend though! Both bags were only £6 and they are gorgeous. When I first saw the blue lacey (kinda) top I instantly fell in love and had to get it, I think both tops were around £6 too. The mint t-shirt, featured in this post, is now a staple in my wardrobe, it goes with so much! I definitely plan on purchasing more pastel items to add to my wardrobe.

Have you checked out Primark recently? I definitely recommend it!

Mint and Black - Outfit

So the other day my boyfriend and I went to TGIs to celebrate being together for 3 years! This is the outfit I wore and I must say that I love it. Mint is definitely one of my favourite colours to wear at the moment and this top from Primark is no exception. I cant remember the exact price but it was cheap. The skirt is from H&M and I got it about this time last year, I love it but I don't wear it that much as it just covers my bum!. My necklace is from Primark (I think) and my shoes from Ebay - I have a post on these if you want to check it out.

Do you like the colour mint?

1. Arent these shoes gorgeous? only £25 too!. I love how they are nude so they will go with so much but also the gold bar adds a little something extra. The seller has so many other colours of this shoe (most without the gold), I'm thinking of getting light pink ones to go with the dress in number 2?

2. I have actually already ordered this dress but I thought I would include it because its gorgeous. The moment I seen it on the Missguided website my mum got a text asking if it could be part of my birthday present ha ha!. Actually it would be perfect to wear on my birthday night out.

3. Palm tree prints are a new obsession of mine at the moment, well all tropical prints are. The colour is gorgeous especially against the black. It would make a perfect addition to my summer wardrobe!

4. Primark actually have this bag in a light pink but I cant find a picture of it.. the white one is lovely too though. I love satchel bags but I actually only own one in hot pink. Best part? its only £6!
