Printed Bargain

Just like my last outfit post, I had shot photos of this one a few weeks back but unfortunately they were deleted by accident. These photos were very improvised! Nevertheless I love this dress and had to share:
Dress: Missguided
Necklace: Topshop
Shoes: eBay

I noticed this dress a few months back on Missguided and although it was only £28 I just could not bring myself to buy it... and I am so happy I resisted! It ended up in the sale for £15 so really I just had to get it right? The colours in the floral print are gorgeous and would definitely work through all seasons whether its with tights or not. Another great feature of the dress is the fit, it nips in at the waist which is so flattering and makes me feel less conscious about my wobbly stomach. I styled it really simply with a gorgeous geometric necklace and my favourite shoes but it would look so perfect with a black floppy hat also!

I am so sad about the original photos being lost however above is one that survived therefore I wanted to include it to make me feel a little better about the situation. My sister took and edited the photo, it is a lot more edited than it would usually be for an outfit post as she was playing about but doesn't it look so cool? Almost like a drawing!

Missguided Co-ord Wishlist

A trend that I have been loving for a while is co-ordinates and wow, Missguided are on top of their game! I am still yet to purchase a set but have to say the top left is on top of my wishlist, the culottes are just stunning. Also high on my wishlist are sets that include lace such a the top right and second right. They just looks so feminine and delicate. Co-ord sets seem perfect for summer and are such an easy, throw on outfit. The best part is that they can also be worn with other outfits too, for example you could wear bottoms from a set with a different top. I just need to get my hands on one!

Faux Fur and Camel

Top - Primark
Skirt - New Look
Fur Collar - Missguided
Boots - New Look

Come on spring, where is the nice weather? Although the sun has been out shining for many days, it is still so cold here in Aberdeen therefore I am not giving up on my much loved faux fur just yet! This gorgeous collar is only cost me around £12 which was a bargain, I cannot find it on the website anymore but there are so many similar. My camel skirt is a recent addition to my wardrobe, I love it however it is that annoying material which clings to your body which is not great when you have a food pouch like me! Never the less I still wear it as camel is a trend that I am currently loving! I paired it with a long sleeved crop top which was around £3 a while back from Primark, so amazing as it has become such a staple piece for me. Originally a high neck black top was bought to tuck into this skirt but as the material is not very forgiving, it does not work as you can see every line which is frustrating. Oh well, best not dwell on that!

1. I have not bought a new pair of sunglasses in 3 years and have been living with the same ones which I have fallen out of love with... however not knowing what shape suits me has put me off buying more! When browsing the River Island website I found these and gosh, how pretty are they? The pink and gold work perfectly together! For only £10 you really can not go wrong.

2. This skirt is perfect as it could be worn right now tights (this scottish weather better change soon) or even in summer with a crop top and sandals. I just love pieces that can transfer through seasons, makes them so worth the money!

3.Need I say much about this dress? it is so amazing! I am loving the 70s trend as suede is just amazing in my eyes. Teamed with fringe makes it so much better!

4. I have heard so much about the Flamingo Candle scent Pink Lemonade, really I can not think of a better scent for a candle! A purchase is definitely on the cards soon, I just hope it lives up to my expectations.

Missguided Sale... Ah!

How great is the Missguided sale right now? There is so much stuff that I want to buy... shame I am such a poor student. To cure my urge to buy stuff I have decided to do a wishlist instead, that almost makes sense!

1£14.99 now £9.99
  2£22.00 now £17.99
  3. £29.99 now $14.99

4. £19.99 now £10.00
5. £24.99 now £19.99
6. £20.00 now £9.99

7. £24.99 now £19.99
8. £34.99 now £22.99
9. £14.99 now £11.99

11. £19.99 now £10.00
12. £24.99 now £14.99
13. £20.00 now £5.00

The deal that tempted me most is the black a-line leather skirt (13), at just £5 I had to order it! Another skirt that I love is the one that looks a bit like snake skin (11). I am obsessed with this pattern at the moment! The black dress (12) is perfect as it could be worn so many times and dressed up in different ways, for example adding a statement necklace. Oh and these khaki shorts (6), I am in love with the feminine lace! I love both bra-lets that I included equally (1&9) however sadly I just cannot see them looking good on me. Same goes for the gorgeous tartan playsuit (7). I have always wanted a pair of monochrome trousers (2) and I think £17.99 is such a great deal! The blazer (5) also would be great as it seems so versatile - could definitely be worn during the day or at night. Another staple piece is the jumpsuit (3), I have never actually owned one but this would be perfect to begin with. This scalloped edged dress (8) is such a beauty, definitely unique. Finally if you read my blog often you will know that I am a lover of chains and mix that with a staple black skirt (4)? Perfect!

1. I have seen so many people wearing this style of shoe lately and I want to jump on the band wagon. So many brands now stock almost identical ones, this includes Kurt Gieger, Dune, Primark and New Look. They would look so lovely just chucked on with jeans and a tee on a casual day.

2. Tropical prints still have a very special place in my heart, even with summer ending soon. This playsuit is gorgeous and is only £19.99. However I do find that playsuits don't suit my body type, they just never are flattering on my legs!

3. I noticed these shoes in New Look and fell in love instantly. The only reason I haven't bought them yet is because I have no idea when I'd wear them. They aren't high enough to wear on a night out but they may be too high for me during the day - dilemma!

4. How gorgeous is this light shade?! I am 100% getting it when I eventually find a new flat (I only have around a month left). Next always have such lovely lighting so I knew Id find one on there, even better this particular shade is only £20!

Online Purchase - Hit or Miss?

I constantly order online and I'm always either really happy with what I get or disappointed therefore I though that a series of posts showing what online garments look like in real life is needed. Hopefully I can help someone out by showing them a really good piece of clothing...or stop them from buying a bad one. Please remember though, these are just my opinions!

VERDICT: HIT

I am in love with this dress and the best part is that it was only £10.32 from Sheinside! The pattern is gorgeous and so is the material, it really does not feel like a cheaply made dress. Sorry for the bad lighting, the sun just would not cooperate! The colours are as exactly pictured on the website though. However I have not actually worn it yet (except to try on for photos) as although the dress has an under layer it is still so sheer. I do not currently own anything to wear under this, hence why I have a black bandeau on in the photo. To be honest I do not actually know what to use. The under layer is also very short at the front!. Once I find something this dress will be perfect! Sheinside is actually an American site so shipping does take a couple of weeks but it is still decently priced at around £2.90 for an order under £18 and free for orders over this amount. I definitely recommend purchasing this dress!

VERDICT: MISS

This dress looked perfect on the Missguided website, when it turned out to be £14.99 I bought it straight away. I even had gorgeous light pink shoes picked out to wear with it. However when it arrived the colours were actually neon! Is it just me or does it not look like this in the picture? Nevertheless I ignored this and went to try it on anyway but the material was not stretchy at all, it wouldn't even go past my boobs! Maybe its just my body shape that doesn't fit this dress but I do not recommend purchasing it. Sorry about the lack of picture, I returned the dress before I could take one.

1. Arent these shoes gorgeous? only £25 too!. I love how they are nude so they will go with so much but also the gold bar adds a little something extra. The seller has so many other colours of this shoe (most without the gold), I'm thinking of getting light pink ones to go with the dress in number 2?

2. I have actually already ordered this dress but I thought I would include it because its gorgeous. The moment I seen it on the Missguided website my mum got a text asking if it could be part of my birthday present ha ha!. Actually it would be perfect to wear on my birthday night out.

3. Palm tree prints are a new obsession of mine at the moment, well all tropical prints are. The colour is gorgeous especially against the black. It would make a perfect addition to my summer wardrobe!

4. Primark actually have this bag in a light pink but I cant find a picture of it.. the white one is lovely too though. I love satchel bags but I actually only own one in hot pink. Best part? its only £6!

Got Your Bikini Body Ready? My Swimwear Picks

The answer to the above question is - I definitely do not!. I wish so badly that I was going somewhere hot this year but sadly I am not, however this is an excuse for me to continue eating junk as I do not have to care about showing my body off in a bikini (whats that about every cloud?). There are so many lovely ones out there though, this year I am particularly loving high waisted bottoms and long line tops. Here are my picks from various websites:

1. I have always been a big fan of Ray Bans so when I came across this look a likes on the Topshop webpage for just £10 they immediately shot to the top of my wishlist. I almost ordered them but I know I should go try them on as many sunglasses just don't suit my face shape!

2. Something I really want to get into this summer is maxi dresses, I'm not sure how they will work with my height though (I'm only 5"3). This one is perfect because the t-shirt look on top makes it very casual therefore it could be dressed down but also the long dress means it could be dressed up. Its pretty cheap too at only £14.99!

3. I fell in love with this top when I was in River Island the other week, there's something about off shoulder tops that appeals to me. I think its because they look so sophisticated and feminine. I specifically love the thick band around the neckline of this one, makes me think that it will stay where its meant to be. This floral pattern would go great with just a black skater skirt. The store also stocks lots of plain colours!

4. This concealer is from the Dainty Doll line and is called 'Concealer Hot Pour'. I am yet to invest in a good concealer, I am so bad as I never use one but I seriously need to! I'm specifically intrigued by this one as the line is created for paler skin tones, which I definitely fall under.

1. I saw this top in Topshop the other day and instantly fell in love, however as usual I did not love the £34 price tag. Although this price is not overly expensive, I find that for a crop top its a little past my limit. The colour is beautiful though!

2. These were actually featured on my chunky sandals post but now I desperately want them! In person they are even more beautiful. They would be perfect for summer to add a little height and also I find that shoes with even a little heel make my legs look that bit skinnier (something I always wish to achieve ha ha!)

3. I have always wanted to invest in heated rollers and at £29.99 you really cant go wrong. More research will have to be done on my part but right now theses ones are high contenders. I just dream of having thick wavy hair!

4. Ah Ive fallen in love. I am a sucker for daisys (you might not be able to see them around the neckline and arms) and also pastel blue so whats better than this dress? The price is only £19.99 too! So tempted.

1. I'm cheat a bit with this dress, I actually have already ordered it ha ha! I was looking for something nice and pastel for going out this weekend but typical me chose this tartan dress, Ill probably have to belt it because shift dresses are always waaay too long on me but I still cant wait to receive it!

2. I have heard so much about this primer yet I still have not bought it. My pores are absolutely awful so I am in dire need of this. Have you tried it?

3. These shoes sit right on front of me at work and I am in love! The photo really does not do them just as they are so much lovelier and brighter in person. They also have them in pink and lime (totally love them too). However they are £45!

4. Isnt this so cute? I almost bought it instead of the Missguided shift dress but I was scared that I could not pull it off.. Im still tempted to buy it though!

I Love: the floral trend

123456

I absolutely love the florals that are coming into stores right now! I think its just because they remind me that it is nearly summer. Above are a few items I have chosen from various websites that I really really would love to own. I think my favourite is the daisy print shorts from Motel, aren't they lovely? Only downside is that they are £35, if I had that spare I would totally buy them. Another one of my favourites is the play suit from Missguided, the colours are beautiful. I just wish I had the figure to pull it off, should have started working on a summer body a long time a go ha ha! Finally the shirt dress from Pretty Little Thing is adorable! I can just imagine belting it and wearing it in summer with wedges, would look so lovely!

1. How pretty is this bedding? I dream of a room with white furniture and floral prints. Whats best is that this particular bedding is not too expensive, hopefully I can get it for when I move out of student accommodation to a new flat in September!

2. Is the pinafore trend passed now? I'm still in love with them whatever, however I still have yet to buy one. I either want a floral print one or this striped one from Pretty Little Thing (my new favourite website!). They can be dressed up or dressed down, which appeals to me.

3. As I mentioned in another blog posts - daisies are my new favourite thing! I recently bought a lovely tshirt dress with daisies (last blog post) but I need another one to added to my obsession and this Missguided dress is perfect!

4.I normally use the Sleek brow kit for my brows but recently I have been wanting to get the Benefit gimmeBROW as it just seems like an interesting product. Hopefully I can save for it and get it soon!

1. I wish I had nice, thick, long hair that enabled me to do a high bun just so I could use this flower garland! I've seen so many people wear them at uni and they just look lovely!

2. Tell me why I am so obsessed with this top? Missguided have so many in different colours and I've been admiring them for months. For some reason I haven't bought one yet though.. need to get on to that!

3.This dress incorporates two trends - dogstooth and pastel. I love the cut of it as well as its not too tight but still fits to the body. Also it has sleeves, I need sleeves!

4.I was browsing on Missguided as usual and came across these shoes. They would be so perfect for spring or summer parties/nights out! I can just imagine that they would brighten up any outfit easily. I just wish they had a chunkier heel so they would be easier to walk in!

1. I love acrylic drawers as they are neat but you can still see all your makeup inside. I've wanted some for as long as I can remember but I have just not got round to it.. I definitely need to though! One things for sure, I will not be getting this exact ones as I do not wish to be set back £109.99!

2. Houndstooth has always been one of my favourite prints and when I came across this dress on Missguided I fell in love. I also fell in love with the £19.99 price tag. Hopefully its still there next month because my lovely boyfriend said he'd treat me!

3.This is obviously the back of the playsuit! The front is just a usual v-neck. I saw this in Miss Selfridge and couldn't take myself away from it. I just think it looks so pretty and feminine! However I always find the bottom parts of play suits are never flattering on me, boo!

4. Thats it, I am in love. How cute is this phone case! My friend Charlotte actually introduced me to the website and there's so many lovely cases, have a look!

Trend: Asymmetric skirts/skorts

I absolutely love asymmetrical bottoms! Every time I go into a clothing store or online I notice at least one skirt or skort that I really want to purchase and I have to drag myself away from it, specifically black ones as they would go with anything! Also who doesn't love the idea of a skort?! I constantly have problems with my skirt blowing in the wind so why not wear shorts that look like a skirt instead. Visions of outfits constantly are in my head centering around an asymmetric skirt/skort worn with either a jumper, crop top or a t shirt. Here are a few of my favourites:

1. Lately I have been loving tartan dresses with collars! I was walking by Quiz and noticed they had some in the store that would be perfect for day and also night. Hopefully I will be able to purchase one as soon as I have spare money!

2. I have been dying for one of these lip stains for ages! I have seen great reviews on YouTube for this product which just make me want to buy one even more but at £25 the price is pretty steep for me. However there are so many lovely colours in the range I think I might just have to treat myself at some point.

3. This photo does not do this eye shadow justice. Phloof is the perfect lid colour which catches my eye every time I go into the Mac store. Its just so frosty and beautiful!

4. Boyfriend coats are a major trend right now and as always I haven't found the perfect one which I can afford yet (boo!) but this pale blue one from Misguided is lovely! I'm going to keep a look out for a cheaper alternative!

Trend: kimonos

I have noticed that kimonos are featured in stores and online a lot recently. I love them as I feel they can be dressed up with something such as a dress but also can be dressed down with jeans. The trend can also easily be transferred to spring/summer. There are a wide variety of colours, patterns and materials available which gives great choice and leaves everyone satisfied. Here are a few of my top picks:

1. I am dying to get my hands on a pastel jumper in either pink, blue or mint! I think they are so beautiful and are great for a transition from winter to spring. The one I have featured is from Topshop but I have also seen a really lovely pink one in Newlook which I am sure can be bought at a much cheaper price!

2. I have a love/hate relationship with asymmetric skirts. I love them because I think they look edgy and can be worn in many ways however I hate that I have visions of me in one with a crop top, a look I could never pull off. Who knows maybe I will purchase one and wear a longer top with it!

3. Frilly socks are the cutest! They are a must for me right now to wear with boots as it adds a quirky edge to an outfit. Topshop have so many different colour options, all only for £3.50! They also stock patterned ones which are lovely.

4. Ah I am dying to get my hands on this but it would set me back £90. As far as I know the camera comes in pale pink, pale blue and white which are all mega cute! Also patterned film can be bought which adds a fun side to taking photos!
