My Current Go-to Palettes

Can you really have enough neutral palettes? I think that all of the ones that I own come under that category. However recently I have stuck to the same two, probably out of ease as both feature such wearable colours. My favourites contain shades that are perfect for Autumn/winter therefore I can definitely see myself sticking to them all through the season. Here they are:

Makeup Revolution Iconic 2 - £4

This palette is great as it features many shimmery colours but also a few mattes, including a black with is essential to me as I set my eyeliner with it. I think that you can tell which shade is my favourite in this one... it is such a gorgeous shimmery brown. Everyday I use this colour over my Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon shadow stick in Dark Pearl and it creates such a stunning yet wearable shade. The palette is perfect for the festive period due to lovely gold shades, just add a berry lip and you are ready! I still cannot get my head around the fact that these palettes are only £4, thats crazy! Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette - £23

I purchased this palette on a bit of a whim really. At the time, I already owned my Naked 3 palette and had no interest in the basics... until I saw it was featured on Cohorted for around £18. Since then I cannot stop using it! It has to be my only all matte palette and I love it. The taupe tone to all of the shadows is really what drew me in as all of the shades are just so gorgeous. I find myself reaching for this palette as they are so creamy and blend together beautifully. Current go-to Makeup

I usually like to experiment with my eye shadow colours but I have just fallen in love with this look! It may be because it is so quick to do on the days when I can actually be bothered to put on eye shadow and lose some sleeping time... It features one of my favourite palettes which is a bargain at just £4! I so recommend you get it:

1 - Maybelline Color Drama (Nude Perfection), 2 - NYX Lip Pencil (Nude Beige), 3.Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer, 4. Revlon Colorstay Foundation, 5. Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer, 6. Rimmel Clear Complexion Powder, 7. Bourjois Delice de Poudre Bronzing Powder, 8. Maybelline Colossal Cat Eyes Mascara, 9. Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon (Dark Pearl), 10. Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner, 11. Sleek Brow Kit, 12. Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 2

1. First I apply my Charlotte Tilbury shadow stick all over my lid and blend. It makes such a perfect base or it could even be worn alone as it is so easy to smoke out.

2. I then apply a shade from my Makeup Revolution palette (third from right). It is pretty much the same colour as the shadow stick but with a little more sparkle. This is put on to my lid and in the crease.

3. Sometimes I go full out and do winged liner however on an everyday basis my looks just have a very thin line which flicks out a little at the end. No time to worry about symmetry!

4. Mascara and black eyeshadow to my bottom lash line then finish off the look. So quick and easy!

Makeup Storage Using A Cake Stand

I saw the idea of using a beautifully designed cake stand as a holder for makeup online ages ago and finally bought one! The stand was only around £7.99 from Homebase which I thought was an amazing deal, not only do they have this one but also so much more designs. I kind of want to buy another one to store bathroom products in..  its just so pretty! I actually really recommend Homebase for home ware items as recently I have seen so much there that I want to buy including candles, tea towels and oven gloves. Might just go on a big shopping spree!

Gift Idea: Night out kit

I was seriously struggling to think of a birthday present for my best friend as she has everything and also I was running out of time. She loves going on nights out so why not give her a kit? Here is my logic behind it:

I purchased some makeup for her to get ready with. Firstly is the 'Undress Me Too' MUA palette, I actually got this because I heard its a dupe for one of the Naked ones. The colours are also all wearable so I couldnt go wrong with it really. I then got a gift set from Topshop with the 'Rio Rio' lipstick and 'Morning Dew' cream blusher, my friend loves red lipstick so I thought that was a good choice. The nail varnish I got is by Sinful Colours and it is called 'Boogie Nights'.

I also bought her hairspray to do her hair with on the night. I would have got her a perfume but due to having a low budget I just got her an Impulse spray as I know she likes them. High heels are always worn out so I thought that heel cushions would come in handy. Obviously vodka is needed!. To keep her breath fresh I bought chewing gum. Finally I got Johnsons makeup wipes for her to use when she gets home and is too tired to go all out with cleanser!

Ibuprofen is always needed for the day after so I included that. After a night of drinking I always find that I just want to eat and eat! So I bought her her favourite crisps as a little snack ha ha!

Isnt this bow cute? and only 49p! I bought this to stick on the vodka to make it look a little prettier. So overall I think this makes a pretty good gift as it contains many necessities for a night out, I know Id love to receive it!
